No more piddling around I've pulled the bed on my 54,M-37 and I'm starting the "RESTORATION"(I heard It's a French word meaning "Slow suicide"). I've spent the last 8 months buying parts (and a parts truck w/winch) and rebuilt another 230 (Bored,Balanced & Cad plated hardware) to replace the old one.I'm already getting worried 2 hours after pulling the bed I was on the phone chasing more parts (crossmember and bottom panel in tool compartment) and just spent Saturday driving 600 miles (round trip) to pickup a parts bed in Ocala (my parts truck is a v-41 which has a Utility body) between the two I should be able to make one good one along with the other bed parts I ordered. So before I pulled the bed I thought I had most everything (parts wise) covered after spending 8 months ( and severl thousand dollars) chasing parts and within two hours into it I'm chasing more, I'm starting to think that maybe this "RESTORATION" is going to take more than the one bottle of "Jim Beam" I bought to help me through it.
