Hello, hope everyone is well. I drive a 53 M-37, which has been good to me, however, lately I seem to be having an odor problem and Iam perplexed as to why. When we (my family of four) ride in the truck, even for 2 minutes, we all have this nasty smell on our clothes. It smells like we have been laying right in front of the exhaust pipe, but we have only been sitting in the truck. This even occurs when we have the top off. I can't seem to detect an exhaust leak, but I don't have a lift, I observed by crawling underneath. What the heck is it? A leaky head gasket? An exhaust leak which I can't detect? Burning too rich? Burning some oil? (no smoke), except under a street light at night. I remember back 8 years ago when I bought it, and I can not remember this happening. It is definately airborne
and not the seat covers. Can anyone help me on this one? It is driving my wife and kids crazy. If I come home after a short drive in the M-37, I'll go to hug my kids and they recoil, saying....Daddy, you have the truck smell, get away. Any opinions welcome. Thanks, Pete
