Strange Spark Plug

230 engine, SN T334, two of the six spark plugs had an extension on the plug as shown in the photo. The bottom piece has no electrode. The plug is a normal Champion J11 and the screw-on piece just has a small hole to let the spark out. Never seen an extension on a plug before. Kinda funny and wondering how these work.
