Since thin bends easier than thick, what you might try to do is rip several slots up both ends of the boards to the point where you are at the beginning of the bend from the flat roof. Make the saw cuts slightly shorter on the outside of the radius than the inside. If you use a circular saw you may want to fill in the gaps with strips of wood of equal thickness. Make a plywood jig for the shape of the bend and the width of the board. Now get plenty of clamps, rags, and your choice of glue, and let the bending begin.
Trust me, I have never done this before, but I am almost positive that you can make it happen. I think it will remind you of doing follow bends with rigid steel conduit. (Another long lost art - craft.)
PS: I know you know this but be sure to select good flat grain lumber.
PS: Have fun.
