I believe they are totally different,
the Poly is a Hemi block vs. the LA block
The Poly cam lobes are 90 degrees off from another and the LA lobes are at various locations around the cam.
The Poly provides +/- same torque as 360, and what I've heard runs with better fuel economy.
If rebuilding, be sure parts house is getting you the correct parts as some parts might physically fit but not function correctly.
