The factory built in zero degrees of caster to make them easier to turn at low speeds.

Caster is what makes the wheel return to straight ahead when you let go of it, and keeps the truck wanting to go straight. So with zero, they tend to wander. Everybody notice how you have to stay alert at all times, keep making micro corrections to the steering? Not relaxing to drive?

When I added power steering, I also added 6° caster wedges. Whiles power steering makes all the difference in the world at low speed, it was the caster that took the anxiety out of cruising.
