That is a welded on, Detroit style, forged and machined splined stub with lands for center bearing. It is the rearmost portion of the front half of the rear tailshaft assembly as used on WDX-W300M model Power-Wagons. It was also used on some bigger Dodge trucks with a wheelbase long enough to warrant a 2-piece rear driveshaft.
