This safety leg used to hold the bed up when working under it had a bolt release. I did not like going under it to remove the bolt to drop it down. I have a extra tail gate spring loaded pin I can now use. It has a spring loaded 5/8" pin and a lock open pull handle. Figured I could weld it over the hole and have a rod that goes to the side I can pull to have it drop down into place. I can shove it up easier then trying to go under the bed to take the nut off the bolt and pull it out by hand.
