to all you guys for taking the time to reply.
I will consider all, look at all areas you suggested.
of course, I would like to try the most easy and obviuos first, like re-setting the timing to something BTDC. Ill try in the areas of 4-8 degress as suggested.
Ill also set my plug gaps to 0.035" to start. Hummm. Interesting as I alwats set mine to 0.025"?
I can go back to the points as I certaintly still have them, but will try the above mentioned first.
Next after that Ill pull one plug at a time and see if the "poping" goes away.. great idea.. that should identify any one cylinder with a bad valve, if there is one.
Next will be to re-check the valve setting.. I agree. as they heat up gaps change and too tight might very well cause this.
Ill go tothe distro after that should I get no better results. hopefully it isnt my distributor :(
I knew I should have bought that NOS one that one of the fellow on the M series site had to sell!
