Funny stuff, I hadn't seen it before and enjoyed the read. Probably because we got a lot of English cars here and Lucas 12v stuff was very common for a lot of years we still use a lot of it. They made a lot of good electrical stuff that still works on old vehicles today. I'll agree lots of older English vehicles leak oil, like old British bikes and Harleys from the same era, but they're not made by Lucas.
All our Dodges from about '53 up had 12v Lucas electrics and seemed to work OK.
