I'm not a mechanic. My trucks are a 1962 WM300, 1951 F2, and a 1987 F-250 Diesel, all with front leaf springs. What are these torsion bars? Anyone know if the 87 F-250 has them? I just want to know if I need to back off the nuts to prevent damage to anything. Not that I wouldn't like to raise it about two inches, but it would have to be strong enough for hauling heavy loads, like a couple of tons, safely. Thanks in advance for any and all info.
