The only locking diff is the Lockright, #1210.
The front axle U-joints are usually Tracta joints. Very strong, more "CV" than conventional U-joints but not as much as Rzeppa joints.
Double clutching means shifting into neutral, letting the foot off the clutch, speeding up the motor for a downshift, letting it slow for an upshift, and shifting into gear. Harder than it sounds but eventually it becomes easy.
