I do not think a 2 spd was available in the W500. I do not have a 69 Dodge service manual, but in 1965 the ratios would have been 5.83/8.11 (D400/500) or 6.14/8.54 (D600), while the typical W500 ratio is 6.80.
I would be very curious about this rear axle,
check the data plate or other info on the truck.
