I'm not real familiar with the torsion bar 4x4 set-ups, but I've read about them some here and there. I seem to remember Chevys tend to wear out steering gear, especially idler arms when this is done. Also I don't beleive it does any good for the CV joints on the half shafts (too much angle). Just my $.02. I may be wrong but I beleive there is no free lunch with IFS.
