As a last ditch effort, plan to pour some Bishops Penetrating Oil down the cylinder and see if it free's up stuck rings. Then will try again. I'll also run a temporary jumper from either starter or battery directly to coil and see if that changes anything. I'm not encouraged though, and looking into my crystal ball, I see at a minimum a re-ring job in the not to distant future.
