and then the hammer came down! Some stations didn't raise their prices. The ones that did were fined by the state for price gouging during a time of crisis.
There were a couple of places that were charging over five dollars a gallon. The fines were rumored to be at least four figures.
One station in Waterloo sold 40,000 gallons by early Wednesday morning! Their tanks are dry, too. I saw a fellow filling three 55 gallon drums in the back of his truck. Talk about nuts...
