Diesel and gas have jumped about $.20/gal here (Everett WA) today. A guy at the gas station said gas was "$5 in the midwest and $4 in Seattle", but I find that hard to believe. The woman working the till more or less hinted that prices will go through the roof tomorrow. And I was planning a 1000-mile 5 mpg trip starting thursday. Guess I'll wait a bit.
