And now to the rear shock mount. I haven't built one before, but my '61 has factory rear shock mounts. I was looking up there recently to answer someone elses question about shock mounting. It's a simple, but stout bracket. Recommend .125-.187 Hot roll steel. The trick part will be the shock mounting post. I can help you with a fabrication drawing for the mount, and you could make one at home, but the post requires turning. I don't know about you, but I don't own a machinists lathe. (wish I did).
