230 con rod bolts

I didn't like the way some of the rod bolts felt when I torqued them. one of the nuts pulled the threads. I looked for a ARP replacements and they aren't listed for the Dodge flathead.
I found an application where with some machining there were bolts that could fit??
Any of you have a solution you are willing to share?
