windshield removal help

I have a 1941 closed cab dodge that has the center crank out. the regulator gears are frozen, Im trying to remove the windshield but I cant get it opened wide enough to get at the regulator screws that attach to the windshield frame. I removed the top hinges. and Ideas? thanks in advance
