I learned a great trick right here on this thread to fix the holes on the door pins.

Take a chisel and make a cross mark that will line up with the centre of the hole.
Weld up the hole
using the end of the chisel marks find the centre and centre punch where the centre of the cross should be.
Drill a new hole for the pin.
