Problem with most of the HID/LED conversion bulbs is that the reflectors aren't designed for the way those bulbs put out light, nor are they designed for the heat load of an HID. Most of the conversions are not DOT legal.
Might be worth looking for an aftermarket housing, a good one won't be cheap but could improve the output or be designed for HID/LEDs.
