Another weirdness in the English language. Break and brake in the same thought train. But I know what you mean about the "No Spin" feature wanting to break loose. It's an interesting phenomenon. Something designed to give more traction and it ends up giving more than you need. I think it's because the roads are "crowned" in the center?
