Inverters are a TERRIBLE way to replace commercial power. Add a power wagon and you go in the fuel hole fast.
I have gensets and I am converting to Instant On LED 12 volt tape lighting. Oddly, the system got re engineered to include lighting inside cabinets that come on when the door opens and shut off when the door closes, and stairway lighting that's switched by a PIR sensor.
Best part, the garden tractor battery runs all the lights for a week on a single charge. The worst part, She who dreams of being listened to keeps adding to the project.
For less than 100 bucks you can light the house & garage sufficiently to live nicely. Now the generator is only needed for heat and pumping.
