What advantage does a 435 have? I do not want the low granny gear nor non sycro.

I have been under the impression that some more modern transmissions will work. Seems I read that the block is similar maybe one bolt more or less.

Also I thought the "width" only applies to the intake and the head area. I have read that the lower portion of the engine has several components that will bolt up.
Maybe I have read wrong.
