I had a similar idea, only to use a smaller diameter disk and move the calliper in closer to the axle. I don't think a 1" smaller diameter disk would affect the braking too much on one of these trucks. Then with the inner wheel tube valve stem facing the outside of the truck, you could run 2 dual type wheels like they are supposed to be used.
