interesting theory but not sure I agree. I have rebuilt a few straight 8 Pontiacs and Buicks and they had brass tubes. everything flawless when taken apart. Brass doesn't corrode that's why marine industry uses is on everything. I am no chemist but just never seen any evidence of brass causing issues.
