Cyclones go counterclockwise in the Northern hemisphere and clockwise in the Southern. The meteorological definition of a cyclone is an area of low pressure with inward-spiraling winds. Most are pretty weak and produce nothing more than a rainy, breezy day. Sometimes you see "anticyclone" as a synonym for a high-pressure area (sunny, dry weather), but the winds aren't so obvious and it's not a very useful term.
Fortunately bolt threads are described as CW or CCW rather than cyclonic and anticyclonic, or we'd have to change everything when we cross the equator.
