your door tag should have the ratios. 4.88. slant 6 can run 60 plus if you want. 55 is better especially if empty. its like they run better and can go a little faster with a load. smoothes them out. ratings don't have anything to do with safe rpms. pretty much every governed gas engine in light and medium duty trucks are governed at 3200 rpms. to run higher than that for sustained periods will shorten engine life. 3200 or less can go forever
