No, it is not, CWD is a disease that can live in the ground and can also be transmitted by nose to nose contact. It is very similar to Mad Cow disease in that it attacks the brain and central nervous system.
EHD is transmitted by gnats and causes the tissues in the body to hemorrhage.
Thankfully, neither is a great worry for people.
