The cowl is the part of the cab that the radiator tie rods go to.
I think others here think you mean the fender brackets, yhat bolt to the sides of the radiator suoort, that bit U shaped thing.
Others think you mean what lots of us call the 'Nose'. Or maybe the small side pieces?
But to sum it up,the whole radiator assemble, nose, grill, side pieces including the riveted on welt, emblem, side pieces, grill bolt hidey trims, hood hinge pivot, hood latch stanchions, fender brackets, all goes on as one assembly. Most guys us an engine hoist. I didn't used to, but probably will need to next time.
