57 W-100 engine question

So the 315 that my Girl Scouts are in the process of pulling has the emergency brake cable routed through the intake meanifold on its way back to the e-brake drum. Is this correct? If it is, we will put it back there when we reassemble, if not, where is it supposed to be routed?
