It's easy to start trying to improve things on old trucks, especially the wiring. In this case (maybe the first time I've ever seen such), the stock wiring is not hacked up or cracked. The whole truck is remarkably unmolested and straight, so I'm even trying to minimize the number of holes I drill to add the radio. I think I'll keep the wiring stock for now. And before I start improving things, there are lots of things that need fixing -- right front brake line, rear marker lights, rusted out floor pan, shifter boot, transmission main shaft bearings, maybe a weber carb... but hey, the body's pretty straight, the tires are like new, and it has a stock stake bed in good shape.
