Hi Guys. I have a 1969 d200 with a factory 383 in it that runs great. the pass manifold is cracked bad and i have to replace it - not weld it.
There are several different kinds of "383" or 440 manifold that appear will work - with different shapes but dump the same. Some have a hump...some don't.
I would like to learn about how these manifolds have improved - the pros cons - and if I am better off finding an exact match. A while back I read about the changes and how those changes reduced the stress on the metal - and we less likely to crack...and that is interesting to me - I don't want to do this again. Any imput is appreciated. Thanks John
