You guys probably know this, but I found out through trial and (mostly) error.
I'd had big loads on on my dually with gravel and sand, even pulling trucks with a receiver hitch. Tires never squatted a bit.
But when I hauled my VF on a borrowed gooseneck, something told me to check that gap before I left the drive. Holy cow! Zero gap. I guess I got complacent with the inner wheels' pressure. Had I taken off without looking, I don't think I would've have made it the 100 miles to the new place.
Funny though, I wouldn't have looked if weren't for this forum..
