I just tested part of my home brewed emergency rear disc brake. It works great. Basically I flipped the 78 caddie callipers upside down, modified the emergency brake lever off a military trailer and shortened some Dodge dart emergency cables.
For most folks this set up would work better with the callipers in the stock position. I wanted the leavers out of the way and high. These callipers are another option for someone who does not use the stock transferase but wants a parking/emergency brake.
