'51 FFPW Transmission

Two questions:

#1 On the main shaft the gears seem to be worn but I don't know for sure. Is this normal wear, are the gears machined like this?. Will I have problems shifting, or should I just go with them?

#2 On the 88 small loose roller bearings within the main shaft gears, what is the trick to keeping them in place when I put them back in?
