According to specs from a 1951 salesman's manual, the tail shaft drive (i.e., the PTO output shaft) has a developed horsepower of 30 hp at 1700 engine rpm. Knowing that horsepower is only a function of torque and rpm, I can calculate the developed torque (which probably means the rated torque). From this, I can calculate the hp at a lower rpm. I figure that the tailshaft drive is rated for about 8 hp at 500 rpm and about 17 hp at 1000 rpm.
How much horsepower does your hydraulic unit call for, and at what rpm's? Just curious.
