check the choke ? I'm not kidding, lots of diesels use a 'choke' or air valve to shut down engine. If your engine has got one, maybe it vibrated to a partialy closed position while running for 2 hours. Happened to me on a sail boat delivery, San Francisco to San Diego.Loss of power and mileage both. Only other test I know of for diesels is to feel that each exhaust is hot, to check for bad valve?
