I cannot understand why an 8' stepside bed from the 60's would not work, without all the cutting and moving of wheel wells.Simply center the wheelwells to the rear wheels/axle and you have approx. 3"
between the cab and bed with about a 8" overhang at the rear of the frame which looks close enough to original. All you'll need are PW fenders. Personally I prefer the early 40's 1/2 ton military PU bed fenders as I think they look better on a WDX-WM300 PW
