If you read his article on "How I built my jet engine", he's seen exhaust temps around 600C. That's pretty close to the melting point of Al (~660C). With a little tweaking he could probably get the exhaust temps up that high. If you combined the 220V can crusher with the jet engine, you could achieve the following:
Keep your beer cold
Crush your empties
Melt down the crushed empties into Al ingots
All in one cool little unit!
I think this CLEARLY falls within the bounds of beer logic.
Just a thought...and I'm not even drinking beer! (currently)
