starter needed for '48 Power Wagon

I’m trying to put a starter back on my ’48 B1. Can anybody tell me if a starter off a ’56 will work? The ’48 has already been converted to 12Volt. Does anybody know where I can get a 6 volt or a 12 volt starter cheap and quick?
