I disagree. I'm not a body and fender man, but I'd like to think someone will fix up at least one of my trucks properly someday. To that end, I always paint bare or rusty metal with some sort of paint to protect it. There's no way anyone would suspect I'm hiding anything, because the paint never matches the original, but I firmly believe that any paint is better than no paint.
