Have a Stihl chain saw I had to scrap after only fours years of light use. Died while in use and I couldn't get it started again. Took it home went thru the usual things and still could not get it to start. Took it back to the dealer were I purchased it. He opened up the motor and ask me if it was dull while I was using it. I told him could have used a sharpening but it was still cutting. He said I over worked it by it being dull and I damaged the engine.
I admit it was dull but it wasn't that dull and by the way, when I couldn't get it to start, I went to my Echo that I bought used back in the 70's, that I have used many times much duller than this Stihl was and proceeded to cut wood.
Kind of gave me a different opinion of Stihl.
