I had the same problem with my pto. I had to add oil to the transmission constantly. I finally went to 140w and it slowed the leak down to just a few drips. I was basically trying to avoid pulling the pto to fix the seal. Then I found I could remove the little plate and change the seal without pulling the pto. DUH!! Now I need to drain the 140w before winter so I can shift gears without involving one of my legs.
I think if you could actually get the CH grease into the pto and keep it there, it might do what you want it to do. But I would think that would be pretty hard without pulling the pto. If you have to pull the pto to do this, consider taking it to a machine shop and having a new shaft turned down. Probably the best solution.
