I'm running a 1 1/4" master on my 6x6 with all drums. I increased the throw to at master by 12% so that I would have 90% of master capacity at 100% pedal travel (to the floor board). I get a hard pedal at 2" of travel, including about 1/2" of lash
A 1 5/16" master has 10% more volume per unit of travel than a 1 1/4". If you are going to install a vacuum booster, I think you will be happy with either master. If not, I would stick with the 1 1/4" master.
*Shameless Plug Alert* Or you can buy one of my remote master brackets and not worry about which one to use, and it's easy to install a vacuum booster at that point.
