Hi Jerry
Years ago I built a log splitter. I had a 10 HP riding mower that was worn out. I used that motor. I got a cylinder for 20$ went to tractor supply got a 2 stage pump hydraulic tank, all the lines and the controls. Used a mobile home trl. axle I had cut to width. And I had all the other steel sitting around... Long story short. At idle I could split logs side ways. cross grain not along the grain... It was a beast... Then come divorce and there goes the splitter..
