Guys. its one thing after another..
I just bought a flathead that came out of a dodge truck. Unseen...I didnt KNOW it was a Plymouth P23 coded engine block until it arrived today. I was told it came out fo a Dodge B series pilot house model.
Obviouly the engine was replaced in this truck at one time.
Given it came out of a truck, I wasnt worried about details as long as it ran well and will fit.
HOWEVER>>> now seeing the complete engine, I see this one has a front sump oil pan...??
Out of a Plymouth car perhaps? Dont know.
As this is going into a 4x4 1941 WC, I need the rear sump oil pan to clear the front diff.
Someone PLEASE tell me that a PW or military dodge oil pan from any 23" block (218/230) will work!
And if so, anyony got one for sale? If not Ill contact VPW tommorow.
thanks!
