1954 c1-pw6 cab heater

Trying to figure out what heater would have came in this truck. The Holes in the firewall lead me to believe its a model 36. But im not seeing where a model 36 would hook up to defrosted vents for the windshield. Any assistance would be greatly appriciated.

Were heaters factory installed or were they only dealer installed options
