I have an original TM 10-1531, the early WC 3/4 ton manual. Written on the cover is, "aircraft tire 34 x 9 fits." It was written in old ink from a long way back. I'm pretty sure when I looked it up, this size fit the Chance Vought Corsair. It has been a while so I might be wrong.
